Jake Novak is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with 12 years of experience training everyone from D1 athletes to desk-bound dads. As Discrevolt's physical performance lead, Jake writes about building a body that's not just aesthetic — but functional, resilient, and built to last.
Background
Jake grew up in rural Pennsylvania, played linebacker at Penn State, and earned his CSCS before opening his own training facility in Austin, Texas. He's trained 500+ clients, competed in powerlifting, and recovered from a serious back injury that changed his approach from "lift everything" to "lift smart."
